CCA Hires New Director, Finance & Administration

May 28, 2005 (Ottawa) — The Canadian Cycling Association is happy to announce that it has hired Michael Adams as its new Director, Finance & Administration.

Mr. Adams has a significant amount of experience and qualifications for his new position, which he will begin May 30th. He has held a number of key senior roles in the past twelve years, from Financial Analyst with the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club (1992-1993) to Head, Revenue & Budget Control with the National Galley of Canada (1993-2003), to his most recent position as Vice-president, Finance & Administration with eProcureSolutions Corp (2003-present), an Ottawa-based technology start-up. Mr Adams holds a Business Administration Diploma with an Accounting Major from Algonquin College (1989) and is a Certified Management Accountant (1995).

The Director, Finance & Administration’s responsibilities include preparing, analyzing and reviewing estimates of revenue, reimbursement, expenditures and changes in financial position; as well as maintaining accounts and records for central fiscal control.

“Michael’s strong financial management, budgeting and organizational skills will be of great value to us as we professionalize operations,” said CCA Chief Operating Officer Steve Lacelle. “We are very fortunate to have been able to add someone of his calibre to our growing team of professionals.”
