Canadian MTB Champs and Pan Am Games – Calling All MTB Race Volunteers

release by Pulse Racing

February 20, 2014 – Mountain Bike season is coming up quickly and lots of exciting things are happening in Ontario.  The Canadian Championships are only five months away, and the Pan Am Games are only 508 days away! Below is detailed volunteer registration info for 2014, and basic volunteer registration information for Pan Am 2015.  Please read carefully.

Over the next year and five months the MTB Sport Organizing Committee will be training volunteers for the Pan Am Games.  Part of the qualifying process to be a volunteer for the Pan Am Games will be volunteering at the Canadian Championships July 17 to 21, 2014.  During this event we will be doing some basic training for the games.  It is mandatory that you volunteer for all of the Canadian Championships to be eligible.

Please sign up online using this link. (feel free to volunteer for other events as well!)

Once you have registered we will receive an email with your information.  This will allow us to place you on a volunteer list for the Pan Am Games.  In April, we will receive a unique code from Pan Am that we will share with you.  This code will enable you to sign up for Pan Am as a volunteer specifically for MTB “Field of Play” (on course).  This code means you will not have to go through the selection process and you are guaranteed to be a volunteer for MTB with the Pan Am Games.  However, if you sign up for the Can. Champs and then aren’t able to make it we will have to make a decision about your eligibility.  Once we get more information about the registration process we will send it to you.

Did you know that the Pan Am Games will have 20 000 volunteers?  Sochi has 25 000.  The Games will be very exciting!  For more information about the Pan Am Games go here.
