Canada’s James Piccoli Signs with US Team

February 17, 2017 (Irvine, CA) – Just hours prior to team camp earlier this month the team came to terms with Canadian rider James Piccoli, winner of both the 2016 Tour of Tabago (UCI 1.2) and the 2016 Green Mountain Stage Race.
In addition to these impressive results in 2016, Piccoli also finished 2nd overall at the Killington Stage Race and managed 4th in the mountains classification of the Grand Prix Cycliste de Saguenay (UCI 2.2).

James Piccoli is one of the top five climbers in Canada. He is the only Elite rider in Canada to podium with World Tour riders at Classique Appalache in 2015 and 2016, finishing 10 minutes ahead of the entire field. He finished 8th at the Tour of Taiwan, the toughest climbing race on the planet. James has set KOMs all over North America, included famed Mount Royal, site of the Grand Prix de Montreal. He won two medals at the Canada Games in 2013, in an upset performance.
We look forward to his first Canadian Team selection on day.
