Canada’s De Vos Wins KOM at Philadelphia International Cycling Classic

June 08, 2015 (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) – The M1 Pro Cycling project congratulates Adam de Vos for winning the KOM competition at the Philadelphia International Cycling Classic. De Vos continued his stellar results taking the KOM points competition at the event in front of tens of thousands of spectators in the heart of downtown Philadelphia, where the H&R Block Pro Cycling Team lined up for the teams first time racing this historic event.

The goal was to get De Vos in a position for either a top race placing, or to be in the right position to go after the KOM competition. With De Vos in the early break he was able to attain a total of 50 points over second place Robin Carpenter with the Hincapie Racing Team who scored a respectable 38 points.

“I am really excited to be able to win the KOM competition at the Philly Classic. It’s a race where the KOM is pretty coveted prize so to come away on top is a good feeling. I would like to thank all of the teams marketing partners for getting us to this historic race,” says de Vos.

Adam’s progress this season has been tremendous. “On behalf of the Board of Directors, Advisors and Management Staff I would like to congratulate Adam for taking the KOM competition in one of North America’s most recognized races,” says, M1 Pro Cycling, CEO, Mark Ernsting.

Now the team is on it’s way to one of Canada’s iconic stage races, Tour de Beauce. This will be a real test for the team before going to the Canadian Road Championships.

Congrats to fellow Canuck, Mike Woods of the Optum Pro Cycling squad who captured second place in the competition.
