Canada\’s Dallas Morris Wins Race Across the West

by pedalmag.com

June 28, 2009 (Calgary, AB) – Canada’s Dallas Morris from Calgary, Alberta won the Race Across the West (RAW), considered the toughest part of RAAM, the world’s toughest bicycle race. Morris was the only Canadian entered in the 1,688km RAW and the sole survior to reach the finish in Taos, New Mexico.

Morris contacted us with the following note…”Hey I noticed you guys put in a small note about the Race Across America (RAAM). I just wanted to forward a little note that I was a part of that event – but the first 1/3 or 1,044 miles, 1688km, known as Race Across the West (RAW). I won the RAW and was the only finisher… and I was the only Canadian in my event. Lasy year in Texas I won a 500-mile event, and set a new course record in the Texas Time Trials. I’m currently seeking RAAM sponsorship. Thanks, Dallas.
