August 5, 2005 – Schure Sports and Sport Alliance of Ontario’s partnership will begin with Team Ontario being outfitted in Karbon apparel for the 2005 Canada Games, being held in Regina Aug 6-20, 2005. Athletes will be wearing Karbon performance apparel during all facets of the competition.
Dr. Gene Sutton, Chef de mission for team Ontario noted, “after the recent press conference unveiling the uniforms, the athletes were excited and proud to wear these specially designed, high quality garments. There was a buzz from all the different sports, that these uniforms looked exceptional and they were looking forward to wearing them at the games.”
“We are proud to support Team Ontario and Canada’s future Olympians. This sponsorship further establishes our commitment to the development of sport” stated Peter Schure, Schure Sports team coordinator.
Athletes will benefit from both Karbon’s microsport and k-wick technologies that are used in the delegation uniform. Garments were chosen because of their performance and comfort. The microsport category is designed around an extremely lightweight fabric that delivers the efficient moisture management performance enhancing characteristics found in all Karbon Athletic products.
Schure Sports and Sport Alliance of Ontario look froward to working together for year to come in their goal of promoting amateur athletics.
