June 25, 2011 (Bromont, QC) – A brief update from the Canada MTB Cup DH #2 in Bromont as the course has been shut down temporarily due to a crash by Vaea Verbeeck (Intense Cycles-Fox Racing Shox-Mavic). The women’s field was about half way through their runs when the crash happened. We have no word yet on Verbeeck’s condition and hope all is ok. The rest of the women will now race after the men and any riders who elect to do a re-rerun will be given the opportunity at that time. We’ll have more news soon on this situation.
