May 4, 2009 – We contacted Jeff Sobul, Communications Director for the OUCH Pro Cycling Team Presented by Maxxis for an update on Cam Evans following his crash early in the final Stage 5 on Sunday at the Tour of the Gila and unofficially “…he has no broken bones but suffered facial lacerations and was being kept at least overnight at a hospital in El Paso, TX.”

“Heard from Mike Tamayo. His face is a bit of a mess at present, but no major structural injuries.”
