April 15, 2011 (Toronto, ON) – On Thursday night some of the finest athletes, coaches, volunteers and sponsors gathered to celebrate Ontario’s finest at Ontario place in Toronto. Bob Woods is from Almonte, Ontario and has been involved in cycling for the past 20 years, with the majority of it hosting events.

He has grown the sport of cyclo-cross in the Ottawa areas from a race of 50 to a race of now over 200. Bob has worked hard with the Ottawa Bicycle Club to support the annual Rideau Lakes Cycling Tour. This is an event that over 1,000 riders set out on a supported two-day ride that takes them from Ottawa to Kingston and back.

Canadian Tire, Jumpstart was also honoured with a Corporate Sports Citation for their support of the OCA Youth Cup Road Seriese
