Bike4Bricks Supports Affordable Housing in Region of Waterloo

release by Bike for Bricks

June 26, 2012 (Waterloo, ON) – Jordan Schmidt, Kyle Martin and Tyler Cadman have committed to cycle across Canada to raise $$ for Heartwood Place. Here’s their reasons:

“We’re three adventuresome, bright, committed, determined young men. We have benefited from growing up in good homes and have learned along the way what happens to people when they don’t have an affordable “place to call home.” Working in our community, we see first-hand that the need for affordable housing is a serious concern. We know the 99 affordable apartments built by Heartwood Place have helped improve the lives of many people. We know that we will be successful with Bike for Bricks and that our fund-raising will move Heartwood Place over the 100 unit mark!”

Heartwood Place is a charitable organization that builds affordable housing in the Region of Waterloo. Over the past 10 years we have built 99 apartments which provide our tenants “a safe affordable place to call home”.

Bike for Bricks has committed to raise $10 for each kilometer across Canada. We need your help to reach the goal of $69,000!

Thanks to our Generous Sponsors:
