Belgium’s Vanthourenhout Claims U23 Men’s Title at 2015 CX Worlds Full Results – Canada’s Danick Vandale 46th

February 01, 2015 (Tabor, CZE) – Belgium went 1-2 as Michael Vanthourenhout took control of the 18.82km U23 Men’s 6-lap race in sunny conditions and soloed into victory followed by his teammate Laurens Sweeck at 10s with Stan Godrie (Netherlands) another 4s back.

“When I reached the front of the race I knew it was good. I attacked and saw I had a handful of seconds straight away. It as part of the plan not to wait any longer and go flat out,” Vanthourenhout told Sporza media.

Canada’s lone starter Danick Vandale from Winnipeg, MB, debuted at the 2015 CX Worlds and finished 46th apparently suffering a mechanical.
