November 19, 2009 (North Vancouver, BC) – Here’s a brief update on the upcoming 2009 BC Cyclo-cross Championships taking place next Sunday, November 29th @ Mahon Park in North Vancouver… Online registration is now open! Save $5 and register online until November 27th. Race registration can be done through the official race website: www.bccyclocrosschamps.blogspot.com OR through Cycling BC www.cyclingbc.net.

ALL participants who enter the BC Cyclo-cross Championships will be automatically entered to win a 2009 Rocky Mountain cyclo-cross frame! Also, with a great host of sponsors on board, all competitors will be enjoying some hot Kicking Horse Coffee prior to lining up for their race. With Provincial jerseys on the line, great prizing is also on the line from Lezyne, Maxxis, Gore Ride Cables, Pedros, Selle Italia, Different Bikes, Honey Stinger and Rocky Mountain.

After a couple solid weeks of course previewing and scouting with a host of local riding celebrities, the final tweaks to the course have been made and worthy Champions will be crowned on a course that is quickly being described as fast, fun and technically challenging. A true bike handler’s course… Plenty of fast off camber ups and downs, wide open paved sections, fast gravel track and just enough power sections to let you know that it has been raining in Vancouver for almost a month and that means… mud!
