June 16, 2009 (Kelowna, BC) – Laura Brown (LOCAL RIDE RACING) and Justin Kerr (Liquid Fitness) held onto their BC Cup series lead in the Cat 1/2 Women’s and Men’s categories, respectively, after the K-Town Classic BC Cup #2 road race in Kelowna on Sunday. Brown placed fourth in the road race and second in the stage race GC, which included a criterium, a time trial, and a road race. Alison Testroete (Total Restoration Cycling) swept the stage race, winning all three events. On the men’s side, Kerr took the road race, making it two-for-two in the BC Cup series. The Cat 1/2 men’s criterium was won by overall stage race winner, Tyler Trace (Trek-Red Truck Racing). Team mate Nic Hamilton (Trek-Red Truck Racing) won the hill climb.
