October 8, 2005 – After three Series events, the inaugural BC Cross Cup is up and running, with Team Coastal’s Rob Britton enjoying a 7 point lead in the Men’s A division, over Escape Velocity’s Kevin Noiles, who in turn has 2 points over Symmetrics’ Andrew Pinfold. In the women’s division, returning racer and new mother, Stacey Spencer, leads the way with 41 points over Sugoi’s factory rider, Kelly Jones (25pts) and independent rider, Kerry Van Kooy with 25 points. The action really heats up in the Men B division, where the top nine racers are separated by a mere 10 points! Strong-man Nels Guloien (Sugoi Factory Team)is tied for first place with Escape Velocity’s Byron Dawson (24 points each), closely followed by Mark Bennet (19pts), Bryce Fegley (17), and a trio of racers with 15 points apiece; Brent Hambleton, Frontrunners’ Stefan Jacobson, and Bike Barn’s Aart Van Kooy.
The Rusty Rim Rivalry, a club based Championship, is being lead by Team Coastal, with 85 points, over Escape Velocity (66pts) and Fronrunners (54pts).
