Need MORE Reasons? Let’s Start with Travel Ease…
Travel Ease: With a new start location in the heart of Vancouver, travel arrangements couldn’t be easier. From Vancouver International Airport, you can catch a shuttle straight to the Host Hotel and then ride right out the front door to the start line for Day 1. And when you’re finished celebrating your accomplishments after Day 7 in Whistler, it’s a direct jaunt down the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway to bring you back to Vancouver and/or your flight home.

Stage Format: This is your chance to throw away all the frustrations of one day racing and let the time, the patience and the distance work in your favour. This is your chance to know what it’s like to be a stage racer… walk in Lance’s shoes for 7 days. Lance tried the Ultra Leadville… so clearly he’s not afraid to get dirty!

Muchos Dineros: For our friends south of the border, the 20% exchange rate for your US dollar is seriously in your favour… it’s like getting a holiday for 20% off retail! Cha-ching!

Family Friendly: With the BCBR “Support Crew” program your family and friends can follow along the race – perhaps volunteering to get a first-hand peek at a day in your life on the trails. Or, maybe they’d like to check out all the wonderful sights and acitivities each of our host communities has to offer. Or, what about a bit of each? There is no shortage of things to see and do in this incredible province… we’re certain your family will love it!

BC Ferries: Aaah… cruising the coastal waterways of BC… now this is the life! What’s that over there? A whale? Cool! Although we can’t guarantee that you’ll see any whales during your ferry crossings during the BC Bike Race, we can guarantee that you will be treated to some incredibly scenic voyages that will quickly remind you that you’re on holidays and that you can relax and enjoy the ride.

Enjoy the Ride: Now that’s what it’s all about! Seven days of some of the sweetest riding you can experience… and all in one go! We’ll let you in on a little secret – once you’re out there dancing your bike through the trails, the idea of race will give way to the awe of the ride. Just ask Team Trek-VW’s Jeff Schalk, winner of BCBR 2007!

Until Next Time… keep the rubber side down and ENJOY THE RIDE!
