February 27, 2009 (Kelowna, BC) — Olympic medalist and eight-time Tour de France competitor Axel Merckx stands with bike shop owners Jim and Owen outside Fresh Air Experience showing their support for the inaugural Ride to Conquer Cancer® benefiting BC Cancer Foundation.

The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting BC Cancer Foundation will be held June 20th — 21st. Riders will begin their two-day journey in Vancouver, BC, after a moving Opening Ceremony before embarking the first leg of their voyage.  After camping overnight, the ride will end in Seattle, WA. Proceeds from The Ride to Conquer Cancer are raising money for research and enhancements to patient care at the BC Cancer Agency.
