July 31, 2006 (Dieppe, NB) – Although Mother Nature was playing with us and some riders did not make the trip to Dieppe, the bad weather on Friday afternoon did not affect the Atlantic Track Open. The weekend ended up being a great one and crowned the Atlantic Champions.

On the men’s side, Max Keeler (Souris, PEI) showed he was back in action taking every event but the match sprint to take the omnium. Sacha LeBlanc did the same on the women’s side taking the elimination and scratch race.

In the other categories, Jeff Currie (Moncton, NB), Jon Daigle (Fredericton, NB) and Jean-Richard Cormier (Dieppe, NB) took the title for the Masters, juniors and Cadet men respectively. On Friday evening, non-championship events were also held as educational events.
