Ascent Cycling Launches Inaugural Team for 2017 Season

March 17, 2017 (Ontario) – 2017 will be Ascent Cycling’s inaugural season, with racing just around the corner they are incredibly excited to get started. Based primarily around Southern Ontario, Ascent Cycling is a new elite team with the goal of competing and performing at races throughout Ontario, Quebec, and the Midwest and Eastern United States.

Ascent Cycling’s mission is to create a sustainable program to help support elite amateur cyclists by providing an environment that is conducive to success and development both on and off the bike.  The team will work to ensure that while striving for a high level of success on the bike, the spirit of fun and enjoyment of cycling remains a priority.  As well, Ascent Cycling supports and encourages achievement off of the bike, in a professional setting, either through education of full-time employment.

Ascent Cycling is proud to announce their 2017 roster and sponsors for the upcoming racing season.  Partnering with Neworld Cycle and Tri Shop, Movement Solutions Physiotherapy, Cannondale Bicycles, Pearl Izumi Clothing, Raceday Fuel and Skratch Labs, and Quality Sheet Metal, Ascent Cycling is honoured to represent such fine organizations that are committed to assisting us throughout the 2017 race season.

Ascent Cycling Team will have an active online presence throughout the season, providing race reports and other stories that they find humorous or… interesting!  Please follow along as the team details their journey through the 2017 racing season. They have a goal of breaking the traditional mold of cycling,, instead of obsessing over power numbers, their blogs will focus on the sometimes unseen insights that a cycling team experiences.
