February 28, 2008 – This is what we have on the slate for the month of March. On March 1st we are starting our kid’s rides which are geared towards kid’s between the ages of 9 and 13. The rides will be around 1 to 1.5 hours in length and the participants should be prepared for the weather with appropriate clothing, snacks and water. The rides are free, but the kid’s must be a member of a GRMBA affiliated cycling club. They are able to join the Arrowsmith Bikes Cycling Club at the rides for a cost of $30. The rides will start at the Wastelands Motocross Track at 9:00am every Saturday morning.
Friday morning come join us for a group road ride. The rides are between 1-2 hours and are to help encourage new road cyclists to get out on the road and meet new people to ride with. We meet Friday mornings, rain or shine, at 9:00am at the “The Buzz” coffee shop on Uplands Rd.
March 9th come to the Dumont Rd. MTB area and check out the Second Annual Super D and the first race in the Island Cup Series. Does your helmet fit you correctly; is it more than 3-years-old? It may be time to get a new one or just drop by with your old helmet and let our staff make sure it fits you properly. Our GIRO helmet rep will be on-site to help with fittings and answer any question you may have. The helmet fitting will take place on March 15, inside the store. Get suited up for spring break and ride safely.
