Armstrong in Big Apple

Three-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong will be racing through
the streets of Manhattan this summer. He and his US Postal Service
teammates have confirmed their participation in the inaugural New York City
Cycling Championship, which will occur on Aug. 4.

The 100-kilometre pro
cycling race will be held on a 1.6-kilometre course through Manhattan’s
financial district.
The event, which will be staged one week after this year’s Tour de France,
is expected to attract 60 to 70 top pro cyclists.
