June 8, 2011 (Pinkham Notch, NH) – Following their respective public admissions of doping, the organizers of the Mount Washington Hill Climb in New Hampshire have stripped Canada’s Genevieve Jeanson and American Tyler Hamilton of their records for the fastest time up the well-known 12.5km climb reports Associated Press.

In 2007 on Radio-Canada, CBC’s French network, Jeanson admitted that she had been doping throughout her career. Hamilton recently went public on the CBS show 60 Minutes where he confessed to doping and alleged that Lance Armstrong also took performance-enhancing drugs during his cycling career.

Jeanson set the women’s record in 2002 with a time of 54:02 and now France’s Jeanie Longo of France holds the course record of 58:14 completed in 2000. Hamilton won the Hill Climb as many as four times setting records in 1997 and 1999 before Tom Danielson of Connecticut beat him in 2002 with a time of 49:24.
