March 15, 2013 (Ottawa, ON) – Cycling Canada has informed us that they are experiencing serious problems with their email provider and are not receiving many of the emails they should be. For that reason, they wish to re-distribute the press release for the junior Pan Ams selection camp, April 27-May 4, and ask interested riders to respond specifically to firstname.lastname@example.org. See the release below with updated contact info.
Cycling Canada is hosting a camp in Los Angeles to select the team for the 2013 junior Pan American track championships. The camp will run from April 27 to May 4 at the ADT Event Center Velodrome. The camp is open to all Canadian male and female junior and second-year cadet athletes (born in 1995, 1996 or 1997).
In order to attend the camp, athletes must apply to email@example.com by 5 p.m. EST on March 22. Athletes must include their personal best times or a letter of endorsement from a provincial coach or NCCP-certified coach.
More details on the camp and the selection process are available in the attached selection document or on the Cycling Canada website HERE.
Athletes selected at the camp will compete at the Pan American junior championships in the Dominican Republic from July 15 to 21.
Cycling Canada will be covering part of the cost of the camp and the championships. Athletes will be responsible for airfare, equipment transportation and meals. Total costs per athlete will be determined once logistics have been finalized.
