June 22, 2012 (Lac Megantic, QC) – On Thursday the Canadian Olympic Road Team was announced for the London 2012 Games and two new Olympians were selected – Denise Ramsden and Joelle Numainville – along with veterans Clara Hughes and Ryder Hesjedal. By chance both Ramsden and Numainvilleare teammates this year with the new Optum Pro Cycling presented by Kelly Benefit Strategies team managed by fellow Canuck, Jacob Erker, and directed by non-other than former Canadian cycling great, Eric Wohlberg.
