UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships Elite Women Full Results, Photos – Vos Defends Title

January 29, 2012 (Koksijde, Belgium) – Marianne Vos (Netherlands) took no prisoners on her way to a decisive victory in the Elite Women’s race at the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Koksijde, Belgium on Sunday winning by 38s and defending her title. Battling for the silver was overall World Cup series winner, Daphny van den Brand, who bested local favourite, Sanne Cant (Belgium) at the line giving the Netherlands a 1-2 podium punch with Cant taking home the bronze. It was Vos fourth consecutive Worlds title and the fifth of her career. No Canadian women competed.
