July 23, 2003 (Hamilton, ON) – The Hamilton 2003 Organizing Committee announced today that effective immediately, Ed Arzouian has been relieved of his duties as the event's Competition Coordinator. The Organizing Committee indicated that they had made this staffing decision in the best interests of staging a successful event this October.

The decision was likely in part due to provocative and controversial remarks and observations made by Arzouian regarding various groups of racers that participated at the recent Canadian Road Nationals 2003 which were staged by the Hamilton 2003 Organizing Committee.
