5th Annual Brockton Criterium

June 2, 2005 (Vancouver, BC) — Vancouver’s beautiful Stanley Park again plays host to one of the most scenic bike races around. A tight winding circuit at the Brockton Point area of the park provides a joyful racing experience, while the layout of the course allows spectators frequent views of the racers from many vantage points. Races begin at 8:00am and end at 12 noon.

Five events make up the morning of racing:

– Women cats 1&2 – 8:00am |
– Women cats 3&4 – 8:01am
– Men cats 3&4 – 9:00am |
– Men cat 5 – 9:01am
– Men cats 1&2 – 11:00am

Registration is available online at Karelo.com, or in person at La
Bicicletta in Vancouver, or on event day if space is available. Race fee is $30.

The crit is just one of the attractions at the Stanley Park Bike Festival, now in its third year. Running at the same time as the races, many other events vie for attention, including trials & BMX demos, guided rides of the park trails and a host of kids events.

Following the crit, the festival continues with other fun races – the finals of the trailer races and Shimano’s youth race series. The festival closes at 2pm.
