“François Beaumont, Canadian sprint triathlete, acted as the spokesperson for this edition. We were lucky enough to receive more than 14 representatives from the biggest brand names in bicycling, running equipment and sports clothes. We also had a dozen speakers including Patrick Charlebois, a marathoner who completed 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents. We also had Jude Dufour who is the personal trainer of local Olympic mountain biker, Léandre Bouchard. We had ultra cyclist Jessica Belisle, along with marathoner blogger Nathalie Bisson, not to mention the high-flying SAG BMX show including Canadian BMX champion, Robby Compartino and the unicycle and mini-cycle acrobatics of the Fous du Roi.”

Saguenay is a city of about 150,000 some 200km north of Quebec City and is the largest city in a self-contained area that also includes adjacent Lac St. Jean. Despite being so far north, cycling seems very popular in this region that has produced many top cyclists. Adult admission to the show was $6 while family tickets sold for $18.
