35th Edition of the Seymour Hill Climb – Aug. 11

August 02, 2013 (N. Vancouver, BC) – Originally known as the Pacific Coast Hill Climb Championship, the first event was held in 1966, this will be the 35th edition of the race.

Notable winners include Olympian Brian Walton and endurance cyclist Leah Golstein has picked up the trophy three times.
Since cycling and hills are becoming more popular with seasoned as well as new riders training for events such as the grand fondos, the 12.2 km event is open to everyone to take on, challenge themselves and others over 1000m of climbing.
Festivities following include music with proceeds of the event contributing to a music program in Rwanda. There will be refreshments as well as live music by the very talented Stephanie Formosa! Check out her website here.

Where: Parkgate Community Centre

When: 8am registration & check-in, 9:30am for citizens, 10:00am for licensed riders

Register on the CCN website here until August 9 or in person on the day of! $25 until August 3rd, $30 after August 3rd

Music and refreshments;

Awards for the top men, women and masters after the ride!

Proceeds go to a school music program in Rwanda.
(How is that related to cycling? Well, it isn’t really. That’s okay.)
