July 03, 2016 (Nové Mesto, CZE) – Catherine Fleury led the Canadians in the U23 Women’s 19.2km race in ideal sunny conditions finishing 22nd as Jenny Rissveds (Swe) claimed her first world title with Switzerland’s Sina Frei second and Alessandra Keller third. Canada’s Frederique Trudel finished just behind Fleury in 25th with Soren Meeuwisse 30th. The race featured a 2.8km start loop + 4 x 4.1km laps.
