July 13, 2015 (Sun Peaks, BC) – Miranda Miller (BC), the top Canadian woman on the UCI ranking, claimed the Elite Women’s 2015 Canadian DH Championship title over former champ, Claire Buchar (BC), in second with Michelle Griffiths (BC) in third. This is Miller’s first Elite title having won the Junior women’s crown in 2006.

In the Elite Men’s competition Matthew Beer (BC) Intense reclaimed the title from defending champ and World Cup star, Steve Smith (BC) Devinci Global, with Smith’s teammate Matthew Wallace (BC) in third. Beer first won the crown in 2012 at Mont-Sainte-Anne, QC, becoming the first rider from Newfoundland to win a National title.

The Seeding Runs had to be canceled on July 11 due to thunderstorms that forced the closure of the chairlift operation.
