September 21, 2014 (Ponferrada, Spain) – Specialized-lululemon (USA) with Canadian Karol-Ann Canuel on board was in charge the whole time nailing their third women’s team time trial crown with a decisive victory over Orica-AIS at 1:17 with Astana BePink taking the bronze at 2:19 back.

Claiming a strong 4th was Optum p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies including two Canadians Leah Kirchmann, triple national champ, and Annie Ewart.

An unfortunate crashed by top-seeded Rabo-Liv in the final kilometres marred the race as Annemiek van Vleuten hit the barriers as they navigated a corner taking down two more riders – watch here.

All riders were ok, but the team was surprisingly down to four riders at that point as their star Marianne Vos got dropped earlier on. Canada’s Anika Todd was on the USA’s TIBCO to the Top team that finished 11th
