September 04, 2011 (Champery, Switzerland) – Due to nasty weather conditions including heavy rain and fog the downhill competitions have been delayed in Champery. The Junior Women’s race was completed but the Junior Men’s race did not start on schedule however officials have lowered the intervals – 1 minute instead of 3 minutes – and expect the Elite Men’s race scheduled for 3pm local time (9am EST) to be on time.

Due to the delay at this moment, the time intervals have been changed as follows:
• Men Juniors will start again at 13:45.
The last 15 riders will start with 1 minute intervals in stead of 3 minutes.
• The women elite race will start 2 minutes after the men juniors race.
The intervals will be 1 minute for all women riders.
Due to the reduced time gaps and assuming there will be no more course holds, we aim
to start the men elite race on time.
