August 21, 2011 (Val di Sole, Italy) – Jolanda Neff (Sui) Switzerland claimed the final round of the Junior Women’s 14.7km race (1 Start Loop + 3 Laps) with a convincing win over Johanna Techt (Ger) Germany in second at 1:13 and Germany’s Lena Putz (Germany) not far behind in third at 1:32. Canada’s reigning junior champ, Frederique Trudel, was 17th and teammate Haley Smith was 29th.

In the Junior Men’s 19.2km contest (1 Start Loop + 4 Laps) it was New Zealand’s Anton Cooper taking the win again serving notice that his surprise victory last weekend in Nove Mesto, Czech Repubic was no fluke. France took the final two spots with Victor Koretzky in second and Maxime Urruty in 3rd. Canadian champ Marc-Antoine Nadon placed 31st and Thomas Neron also on the start line for Canada was 79th.
