February 15, 2011 – Two new Saturday clinics, revised Dirt Dash Mtb race.!!! The 2011 Tour of Bronte is pleased to open the Ontario road racing season on Sunday, April 10. Taking place in Bronte Creek Provincial Park in Oakville, Ontario, the road race circuit is a mix of smooth and not so smooth paved and unpaved winding, narrow roads. It evokes the feel of the historic classic races in northern Europe and modern retro classics like the Monte Paschi Eroica in Tuscany.

The 2010 edition received enthusiastic reviews from participants and is sure to grow in 2011. Field limits for all categories are in place to ensure a safe enjoyable race experience for everyone. Over $5,000 cash, a closed road circuit with no centre line rule ever and a host of family friendly activities combine to make this one of the most interesting races of 2011.

While roadies get their season started, MTB enthusiasts are also catered for in the Dirt Dash. This will be run on a modified version of the 2010 course, utilizing a 5km unpaved circuit consisting of unpaved road, new double track sections and a leg searing climb each lap. The final course will be weather dependant, and will once again be a great training opportunity for the following week’s Paris to Ancaster classic.
