2010 Tandem Tour – 4-man Bicycle Crosses Canada

release by the 2010 Tandem Tour

May 7, 2010 (Victoria, BC) – On May 5th, Brent Seamone, Ben Miller, Jeff Belanger and Ian Bevis, four students from the University of Victoria embarked on a Trans-Canada quad tandem bicycle campaign in aid of charity. Beginning in Victoria, British Columbia, the team will cycle a distance of over 6000 km on their way to Halifax Nova Scotia.

The motivation for this campaign is to raise money for four different charities that have affected at least one member of the team: The multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, the Friends of Retail Society, the Canadian Diabetes Association and the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Through Blue Moving Pictures will follow the campaign to produce weekly episodes that will stream of the tour’s website here. This will enable views to monitor the team’s process. In addition, Through Blue Moving Pictures will produce a documentary film of the journey.

A significant portion of this tour’s success relies on public and commercial support. If you would be interested in telling our story or sponsoring the Tandem Tour, please contact us at 2010tandemtour@gmail.com

Online donations can be made directly to each charity via donations page here.
