May 7, 2009 (Victoria, B.C.) – The Sidney Twilight Grand Prix is thrilled to announce that Cardinal Law, a strong supporter of Victoria cycling, has become the race’s 2009 Title Sponsor. The event is scheduled as a BC Cup Final Championship event which will attract some of the best cyclists in Western Canada and the US Pacific Northwest. With the addition of Cardinal Law, as well as support from local businesses such as Oak Bay Bikes, Tim Hortons, Russ Hays the Bicycle Shop, and Aviawest Resorts, this years BC Cup Final is poised to become Vancouver Island’s cycling event of the year.

The month of July brings great cycling excitement and action to South Vancouver Island. On July 25-26, 2009 the Aviawest Cycling Society presents three cycling events that will attract families, kids, professional racers, and local cycling enthusiasts – The Cardinal Law Sidney Twilight Grand Prix, The Oak Bay Bikes Cops For Cancer Criterium, and the Tim Horton’s Timbits Challenge.

The Aviawest Cycling Society is a not-for-profit society dedicated to providing financial assistance and coaching support for the development of young competitive cyclists.
