September 26, 2008 – Congratulations riders! The 2008 Pedal 100 for Heart and Stroke held on Sunday, August 17 was a huge success once again. A total of 490 riders participated and raised an amazing $46,500 to support the Foundation’s mission. This breaks the record set last year for the highest participation level and revenue total for Niagara’s Pedal 100 for Heart and Stroke!

A big thank you to all 2008 participants for supporting this annual ride. Your support contributes to a greater understanding of the root causes of heart disease and stroke, which results in better diagnoses, treatment, and prevention.

Pedal Magazine and the Heart and Stroke Foundation would like to thank all of the volunteers and sponsors for their support including EZ Rock 105.7 FM, Southern Ontario’s Best Rock 97.7 HTZ FM, Newstalk 610 CKTB and Vineland Estates Winery.
