2006 Paris To Ancaster and Coachchris.ca Team Up

January 29, 2006 – The organizers of the 13th Annual Fuji Paris to Ancaster bicycle race are pleased to announce a unique partnership with Coachchris.ca to provide a free 10 week training program for riders preparing for this yea’s race on Sunday April 9.

Coachchris.ca associate Graydon Raymer will be posting two weekly training programs for the next ten weeks. The first will be targeted at the the beginner racer and the second for the more experienced athlete, along with general training tips and advice. The first week of the program is already available at www.parisancaster.com and will be updated each week until race day.

The Fuji Paris to Ancaster race is a unique 60km race inspired by its namesake French classic, Paris-Roubaix , and held on dirt roads, rail trails, single track and pavement. Almost 1500 participants raced the 2005 edition, making it the largest one day, mass participation race in Canada. Mountain bikes or cyclocross bikes are recommended. A 30 km version, starting at the halfway point in Harrisburg is run concurrently with the 60km .An updated website with the 2006 race information, results, pictures and online registration is now open at www.parisancaster.com .
