2005 Road Worlds – Elite Women\’s and U23 TT Preview

September 20, 2005 – The 2005 Road Worlds action gets underway tomorrow in Madrid, Spain. Two Canadians are riding in the Elite Women’s Time Trial, Colavita’s Sue Palmer-Komar and Webcor’s Felicia Greer. Greer is a last minute replacement for Quebec’s Lyne Bessette, who decided not to participate at the Road Worlds two weeks ago. The women will race 21.9km and the first rider is off at 10am local time.

In the Espoir race, Canada has sent Christian Meier (Symmetrics) and Ryan Roth (Gearsracing.com) to the plate. Both riders are strong TTers and it will be interesting to see how they fare on the world stage. The U23 men will ride 37.9km and the first rider off is at 1pm local time.
