2005 MTB Worlds – Elite Women’s DH

September 3, 2005 — The Queen of Downhill, France’s Anne-Caroline Chausson (FRA) reigns again, after missing last year’s World’s due to injury. She squeaked out a win with only 0.37 seconds to spare over second place, countrywoman Sabrina Jonnier (FRA). It was a French sweep, as France’s Emmeline Ragot (FRA) pulled into third place.

Claire Buchar (CAN) threw down Canada’s top result with 16th place. Canadian National Champ Adrienne Miller (CAN) was 21st, Katrina Strand (CAN) finished 22nd and Brook Baker (CAN) placed 24th.

The 2850-metre course drops from 2450 to 1800 metres and includes a smorgasbord of jumps, drops, berms and pedalling sections.
