2005 Cyclo-cross World Championships – Elite Women and Men

January 30, 2005 – The showcase events of this year’s ‘Cross Worlds took place today in St. Wendel, Germany, with the elite men’s and women fighting it out over the snowy course for their respective rainbow jersies. In the men’s , Belgian Sven Nijs finally took the win he’s deserver for years; the women’s was won by Hanka Kuperfnagel of Germany. Canada’s top rider today was Wendy Simms in 12th in the women’s race.
