2005 Canadian Cyclocross National Championships

September 22, 2005 – The Canadian Cyclocross National Championships return to Ontario for 2005. This year’s event will take place at Hardwood Hills just outside of Barrie Ontario. Hardwood Hills has a long history of hosting National level Mountain Bike and Cross Country skiing events. This years Championship will be organized by one of Ontario’s Top cyclocross organizers and with the assistance of the Hardwood Hills staff, it’s sure to be the best Championships yet.

The redesigned course for 2005 is sure to challenge the best cross riders in the country. Each lap riders will test themselves over a fast 3km circuit with three run-ups, two sets of Barriers and a fast sandy descent.

The 2005 Canadian Cyclocross Championships are open to Canadian Citizens with valid UCI licenses that show a “CAN” in front of their license number. Riders in all Championship Categories must use Cyclocross bicycles. A Challenge category has been formed to accommodate U13, U15, U17 riders and Male and female riders using Mountain Bikes or cross bikes (open to riders with Ontario citizen’s permits) 1 Event permits will not be sold.

Spectators will find incredible places around the course to watch all the action or just sit back and enjoy the race form the McAuslan Brewing Beer tent, located beside the double pit just in front of the finish line
